After being told by college student Soubi that he is in love with Ritsuka, upon their very first meeting, Ritsuka ends up involved in a fantasy world with Fighters and Sacrifices. In the process, he inherits Seimei’s Fighter Unit. Yun Kouga created the story of Ritsuka, a 12-year-old who is looking to find out what really happened when his brother, Seimei, was murdered. Loveless is a running manga series, as well as a 12-episode anime. If you haven’t seen any of these shows yet, you really should check them out. With this in mind, we would like to talk about five of our favorite gay anime shows. You got to see what romance really should look like, and got to see yourself in a different way, thanks to LGBT anime. There have been some pretty great anime LGBT relationships, and those characters represent gay couples in many different and positive ways. Were you an LGBT kid who enjoyed anime? If so, chances are there were some shows that had characters that explored their sexuality and helped you to make better sense of what might have seemed so confusing at the time (Sailor Moon is one of these characters).
